2009 Events Diary

Friday 27th February
The association’s A.G.M will be held following the monthly General Meeting.

Thursday 19th March:
Granting of Freedom of the City of Kingston upon Hull to the Association

Friday 20th March:
A Civic Lunch held in honour of the Association at Hull Guildhall with the Lord Mayor and council leaders in attendance.

Friday 27th March:
A concert celebrating the association’s receiving Freedom of the City status.

 Wednesday 8th April:
 A coach party will visit Bridlington.

Wednesday 6th May:
The association’s annual visit our friends and shipmates of the Goole Mariners Association.

Sunday 31st May:
The association will attend with our standard the annual “Lost Seafarers Service” organised by the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes.

Wednesday 17th June:
A Summer Concert will be held.

Saturday 18th July:
The association will be represented at the 20th Anniversary celebrations of the National MNA, to be held at Sutterton, Boston.

Wednesday 22nd July:
 The association’s annual visit our friends and shipmates of the Dormanstown & Redcar M.N.A.

Thursday 3rd September:
A Merchant Navy Day Service will be held at the Hull M.N Memorial followed by a Concert.

Sunday 5th September:
The association will be represented with our standard at the Tower Hill, Merchant Navy Memorial Parade and Service.

Wednesday 16th September:
The associations will pay its annual visit to Scarborough.

Wednesday 14th October:
The association will be holding its annual Nautical Knee’s –up, with invitations to other maritime associations to join with us for an afternoon of entertainment.

Wednesday 16th December:
The annual Association Christmas Party will be held.

Other events may be organised at short notice if requested by the membership
